When a Dream Reaches Across the World

I recently travelled to China for a holiday.

Besides the good food and beautiful scenery, the most memorable moments of the trip were hearing my song, 《心光》, being played on music platforms during my cab rides.

The first time I heard it, it felt surreal and heartwarming. To know that my song has reached listeners across the world… the emotions were beyond words.

For over 30 years, becoming a singer was a dream I quietly kept in my heart. I never imagined that one day, I would hear my own song playing overseas.

I didn’t just want to release any song. I wanted to create something meaningful, a song that brings hope, courage and strength.

So I combined my passion for singing with my purpose of inspiring others. I personally wrote the lyrics so they are heartfelt, describing my alopecia journey in 3 phases: from downfall, to acceptance, to rising again, using music to share the lessons from this experience.

I was touched when the drivers said the song resonated with them and felt meaningful and inspiring.

This trip reminded me that some dreams take years. And when they happen, you realise how far you’ve come.

To anyone holding onto a dream quietly in your heart, maybe take a small step towards it.

You never know where it may take you.
