The Regret Isn’t Failing, It’s Not Trying

Have you ever felt…
that maybe it’s too late to pursue your dreams?

Recently, a friend said this to me:
“I admire your energy…
to pursue your dream after over 30 years, at this age, not many people would do that.”

I smiled and said,
“Thank you… I hope I’ve shown that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams.”

When I was young, I dreamed of becoming a singer.
But life took me on a different path,
one that fulfilled my parents’ hopes of seeing me take a more traditional route,
getting a degree and building a corporate career.

I honoured that path.
I built the life they wished for me.
But that dream never went away.

Last year, I decided it was time to honour my own heart,
to fulfil my dream too.

Not because I knew where it would lead.
Not because I was sure it would succeed.

But because I didn’t want to look back one day and wonder,
what if I had tried?

At 46, I think it’s about choosing what matters.

Dreams are not about outcomes,
but about expression.

You don’t need to be successful at it to honour it.

And perhaps the biggest regret is not failing…
but never giving yourself the chance to try.

If there’s something in your heart that hasn’t gone away,
maybe it’s waiting for you
to give it a chance.

I warmly invite you to listen to 《心光.
